Residential Plumbing Services in Littleton, CO

The full range of residential plumbing

One call for any plumbing need.

Residential plumbing covers everything water and gas touches in a home: supply lines, drain lines, gas lines, fixtures, appliances, water heaters, sump pumps, water treatment, and the mechanical connections for boilers and hydronic heat. Most homeowners call multiple plumbers over a lifetime because one plumber does drains but not gas, and another does water heaters but not remodels. Wes does all of it. Get a quote for any plumbing need.

The advantage of one plumber knowing your whole house is that the small stuff stops being mysterious. Low pressure at one bathroom faucet is a cartridge. Low pressure everywhere is a pressure-reducing valve, a partly closed main, or galvanized pipe rusting shut. A water heater that recovers slowly might be scale on the elements, or it might be a dip tube. Those look identical from the customer’s side of the wall, and guessing wrong means paying twice. Wes finds the cause before quoting the work, which is why the number he gives you tends to be the number you pay.

Most calls fall into three buckets: something is leaking, something is backed up, or something quit working. Leaks want leak detection before demolition, because chasing a stain across a ceiling with a saw is a bad way to find a pipe. Backups want a camera down the line to see whether it is grease, roots, or a bellied section. Things that quit working, water heaters and disposals and sump pumps mostly, usually come down to whether the unit is worth repairing at its age or whether you are better off replacing it. He will tell you which, including when the answer costs him the bigger job.

  • Supply line repair and replacement
  • Drain cleaning and sewer work
  • Water heater repair and replacement
  • Fixture and appliance installation
  • Gas line work
  • Full house repipe in copper or PEX
  • Leak detection before any wall comes open
  • Camera inspection on repeat backups

Why master plumber and GC together matters

Most plumbing jobs touch more than just pipe.

A pipe repair opens a wall. A water heater swap in a tight utility closet involves some framing. A bathroom remodel requires rough-in positioning that accounts for the tile thickness. Having a master plumber who also holds a GC license means one person handles the plumbing scope and the structural scope it requires. No coordinating separate trades for the same job.

From the homeowner’s chair, that mostly means the job actually ends. The common bad experience is a plumber who fixes the pipe, cleans up his tools, and leaves you with an open wall and a suggestion to find a drywall guy. Then the drywall guy wants to know why the pipe sits proud of the studs, and now you are the general contractor of your own repair. Wes opens what he needs to open, does the plumbing, and closes it back up. One person is responsible for the whole hole in the wall, start to finish.

Winter is when this matters most around here. Freeze and thaw cycles on the Front Range split hose bibs, crawlspace runs, and any supply line that got routed through an exterior wall by somebody who was in a hurry. A frozen pipe that has already burst usually means opening a wall or a ceiling to reach the split, and that is exactly the situation where you do not want to be assembling a team at eleven at night. Wes answers the phone 24/7, cuts in, repairs the line, and puts the wall back. If the run freezes because of how it was routed, he will fix the routing so you are not doing this again next January.

Doing it right the first time

Wes’s approach to every residential job.

The owner’s framing of Western Plumbing Solutions is “doing it right the first time and making sure it lasts longer than the homeowner.” That shows up in every choice: correct pipe sizing, correct slope on drain lines, new shutoff valves and supply lines when installing a new fixture, permit-and-inspect work where code requires it, and a pressure test before anything is closed up. See recent residential work.

The small decisions are where that standard shows. New shutoff valves with a new faucet, because the old multi-turn stop under the sink is going to seize the next time somebody needs it in a hurry. Dielectric protection where copper meets steel, so the joint is not quietly corroding itself apart behind a cabinet. Hangers and strapping spaced so a PEX run does not slap the joist every time the water shuts off. None of it is visible when the job is done. All of it is why the job is still fine in fifteen years.

He also tells you what he is doing and why. Homeowners in Littleton, Lakewood, Arvada, and out toward the foothills call Wes back because he explains the problem in plain language instead of talking around it, and because the review that reads “on time, solid work, fair price” is a fair summary of how it usually goes. If you want a second opinion on what another plumber told you, that is a legitimate call to make. Ask him and he will tell you straight.

Questions about residential plumbing services.

What does a master plumber license cover?

In Colorado it covers the full scope of residential and commercial plumbing: supply, drain and vent, gas piping, fixtures, water heaters, boilers, and every associated connection. It is the top plumbing license in the state and it is what allows Wes to pull permits in his own name. His number is MP.03001972 if you want to look it up, and you should feel free to.

Why does it matter that Wes is also a licensed GC?

Because plumbing jobs open walls, floors, and ceilings, and somebody has to be responsible for closing them. With one license you get a repaired pipe and an open wall. With both, the same person does the demo, the pipe, and the patch, and there is nobody to point at if something between those steps goes sideways.

Do you do service calls or only project work?

Both, and small calls are welcome. A dripping faucet, a running toilet, a slow drain, a disposal that hums but will not turn. Plenty of the bigger jobs started as somebody calling about something small. If it turns out to be a ten minute fix, you get told that instead of getting sold a project.

Are you available for emergencies?

Yes, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Burst pipes, sewer backups, and water heater failures do not wait for business hours, and around here they tend to happen in the cold. If water is running right now, shut off the main first, then call. Knowing where your main shutoff is before you need it is worth five minutes on a Saturday.

My house is from the 1950s. Should I be worried about the pipes?

Worth having looked at, not worth panicking over. Homes from that era around Denver often have galvanized supply, which rusts closed from the inside and shows up as falling pressure and rusty water after the house sits. It can be replaced in stages rather than all at once. Wes will look at what you actually have and tell you whether it is a now problem or a someday problem.

Do you charge to come out and diagnose the problem?

There is a charge for a service call, and you are told what it is before he drives out, no surprises. What you are paying for is a licensed master plumber finding the actual cause instead of guessing. Once he knows what it is, you get a straight quote for the repair and you decide from there. No work starts before you say go.

Can I just replace the faucet myself?

Often, yes. Swapping a like-for-like faucet or a toilet flapper is reasonable homeowner work. Where it goes wrong is when the old shutoff will not close, the supply line snaps, or the trap arm has to move. Anything involving gas, a water heater, or opening a wall should go to a licensed plumber, both for safety and because that work needs a permit.

How long do you stand behind the work?

The labor is warrantied and manufacturer coverage on parts and equipment gets passed straight through to you, with the paperwork left in your hands rather than in a truck. If something Wes installed acts up, call him and he comes back. That is the whole business model at four years in: repeat customers and neighbors telling neighbors.
