Why Wes started it
Built on doing right by folks.
Wes started Western Plumbing Solutions for a plain reason. He wanted a company built on integrity, a good place for honest, hardworking folks to work, and a name his community could count on. Four years in business, twelve years on the tools, and that is still the whole deal.
Most outfits sub out half the job and hope the other crew shows up. Wes does not work that way. He is a master plumber and a licensed plumbing contractor, which means one person owns the whole thing, from the first pipe in the wall to the last fixture you actually touch.
In his own words, he wanted to open a company that has integrity, that becomes the place to work for honest hardworking people, and that serves the community he lives in. That is not a marketing line somebody wrote for him. It is the reason the company exists, and it shows up in small ways: quoting the job you need rather than the job with the best margin, telling a homeowner when a part will do instead of a whole fixture, and answering the phone at two in the morning when a line lets go.
The twelve years before this mattered too. A dozen years on the tools is enough time to have seen how work ages, which is a different education than knowing how to install something new. You learn which shortcuts come back on somebody in five years, which brands hold up in Colorado water, and which repairs are worth doing twice as carefully because getting back to them means opening a wall. That is where the standard came from.

What that gets you
Done right the first time.
When one licensed pro owns the whole job, the difference shows up later. No finger pointing when something is off. No waiting two weeks on a sub. No surprises after the drywall closes up. The work gets done right the first time, and it is built to last longer than the homeowner.
Wes treats every house like it is going to be standing for another fifty years, because it probably is. Clean copper, strapped lines, code-tight gas work, and a tidy job site when he packs up. That is the standard, whether it is a leaky faucet or a ground-up build.
The two licenses are worth understanding, because most people hear them as the same thing. Master Plumber #MP.03001972 is the top classification a plumber can hold in Colorado, above journeyman, and it is what allows him to design and sign off on systems rather than just install to somebody else’s plan. Contractor license #PC.0005413 is the other half, the one that lets him run the build itself. Most plumbers hold the first. Most builders hold the second. Holding both is uncommon, and on a remodel it removes the exact seam where projects usually go sideways.
What that looks like on a real job: nobody says the drain has to move and then nobody wants to own moving it. Nobody blames the tile guy for a valve set too deep. There is no two week gap waiting on a sub who has a bigger job across town. If something is wrong, there is one person to call and no argument about whose problem it is. Wes would rather absorb that responsibility than pass it around, because passing it around is how homeowners end up standing in a torn-up bathroom holding two phone numbers.
Local, and it matters
We build for Colorado.
Wes works the same Front Range towns you live in, so he knows what Colorado does to a plumbing system. Hard water that eats fixtures. Freeze and thaw winters that split a line before you ever see a drip. Older Denver-area homes on tired galvanized pipe, and newer builds out in the foothills at altitude.
What works in a textbook does not always hold up at seven thousand feet. We build for the house and the weather it actually sits in, and we will tell you what we would do if it were our own place.
Being local is more than a zip code on a truck. It means Wes knows that a mid-century house in an older Denver neighborhood probably still has galvanized supply that has rusted half closed from the inside, and that the homeowner has been blaming the city for low pressure for a decade. It means knowing which era of newer construction went in with polybutylene, and that hard water will take a water heater in a foothills subdivision years before the warranty says it should. It means knowing that a crawlspace in a Summit County cabin needs a different plan than a finished basement in Centennial. You do not get that from a manual. You get it from working the same ground for twelve years.
It also means you are hiring a neighbor. Wes lives and works in the same towns he serves, from Littleton across the metro and up into the mountains. That is a real accountability structure. Who actually does the work?
Wes does. He is the owner, a licensed Master Plumber (#MP.03001972) and a licensed Plumbing Contractor (#PC.0005413). You are not handed off to a rotating crew of subs, and the person who looks at your job and quotes it is the person standing in your crawlspace a few days later. That is why his name keeps turning up in the reviews rather than a company slogan.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, both. Master Plumber and Plumbing Contractor licenses, and the company carries insurance. Ask any contractor for their number and look it up, ours included. It takes a minute and it separates the licensed from the merely confident. A company license is also not the same as the person doing the work being licensed, so it is fair to ask which you are getting.
How long have you been in business?
Western Plumbing Solutions and Remodels has been in business about four years, and Wes has twelve years of hands-on plumbing experience behind that. The company is young, the tradesman running it is not, and those are two different questions worth asking separately when you are hiring anybody.
Why did Wes start the company?
In his own framing: to open a company that has integrity, that becomes the place to work for honest hardworking people, and that serves the community. Working for other outfits, he kept running into the same thing, corners cut where nobody would see them. Starting his own shop was the way to set the standard rather than argue about it.
What does the master plumber and GC combination mean for me?
On a small repair, not much beyond a well done repair. On a remodel it is the whole difference. Most projects go sideways in the gap between trades, where the plumber and the builder each think the other one owns a decision. Wes holds both licenses, so there is no gap. He does the rough-in and runs the build around it, and one person is accountable start to finish.
Do you do both residential and commercial?
Yes. Homes and commercial properties, small service calls and full new construction, across Littleton and the Front Range. Commercial jobs bring their own requirements and their own scheduling pressure, so tell us what the property is and when it has to stay open, and we will plan the work around your hours.
Are you really available around the clock?
